Plastic chain conveyors
The plastic chain (polyacetate - POM - a material with very good mechanical and thermal resistance. The material can also be characterized by elasticity and dimensional stability.) is a lighter alternative but comparable in strength to the stainless steel chain. This material is resistant to a wide range of chemical agents, has a low coefficient of friction and a high resistance to wear.
Conveyors with plastic chains are used especially in the food industry for packaging (for transporting different types of containers: PET, cardboard boxes, cans).
Conveyors with such plastic chains can be operated optimally in the thermal range -40 C +90 C and have FDA approval.

Benefits and features
-
Durability: Plastic chain conveyors are constructed using high quality materials such as strong and durable polymers. They are able to withstand wear, corrosion and impacts, ensuring a long life of the transport system.
-
Light weight: Due to the use of plastic as the main material, plastic chain conveyors are light in weight compared to other types of conveyors such as metal chain conveyors. This aspect facilitates the installation, handling and maintenance of the system.
-
Flexibility and Versatility: Plastic chain conveyors are flexible and can be adapted to a variety of applications and configurations. They can be easily adjusted according to the specific needs of the production process and can be integrated into different environments and assembly lines.
-
Quiet operation: The use of plastic chain minimizes noise and vibration during conveyor operation. This is a beneficial feature in noise-sensitive work environments or areas where noise reduction is required.
-
Ease of cleaning and hygiene: Plastic chain conveyors are easy to clean and disinfect, which makes them suitable for applications in the food industry, including dairy production. The plastic does not absorb liquids or odors and can be cleaned effectively, ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety.
-
Reliability in harsh conditions: Plastic chain conveyors are resistant to moisture, chemicals and extreme temperatures. They can operate in difficult or aggressive environments, such as those in the food industry, where they are exposed to water, steam, grease or aggressive chemicals.
